AALAS Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) Technician Certification Examination Preparatory Course

We are pleased to announce beginning Wednesday August 6th, 2014the Charles River Training Center will offer a weekly preparatory course for the AALAS Laboratory Animal Technologist(LATG) certification examination by webinar (virtually).

Course Language = English Only

Start Date: Wednesday, August 6th, 2014

Session Time = 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm (Eastern)

Number of sessions in program = 20

Course Objectives:

  • Review each chapter of the AALAS LATG Training Manual (revised March 2010)
  • Complete weekly quizzes to review key information from each chapter of the LATG Training Manual
  • Complete four (4) unit examinations covering the core LATG Exam Content Outlines (ECOs).  Unit exams are completed on-line only
  • Complete a final “mock’ LATG examination to verify the student’s state of readiness for the LATG exam.  The Mock LATG exam is completed on-line only

Who Should Attend:

  • Individuals actively preparing for or planning to sit for the AALAS LATG certification within the next 3-12 months
  • Individuals preparing for the CMAR examinations or require continuing education units for professional certification may find the course material useful review

Expectations:

  • Ensure you have support/approval from your supervisor or Manager prior to enrolling in this program
  • Secure copies of the following study materials from your Supervisor, Manager, Training, or Human Resources Department
  • AALAS LATG Training Manual (2010 Version)
  • AALAS LATG Student Workbook (2010 Version)
  • AALAS Regulatory Workbook (6th Edition)
  • Employees should be able to commit to at least one hour of training conducted via web conferencing for each scheduled session
  • Be able to complete 1-4 hours of study and review outside normal work hours each week to cover relevant chapter information and complete the chapter quiz prior to the next session
  • Maintain or sign up for an AALAS Learning Library (ALL) account
