Introduction to Adult Learning and Training (TTT)
Purpose:
Effectively
communicating information to adult learners requires knowledge and application
of evidence-based psychological and educational theories. This session
introduces some basic concepts so that attendees so that they may use this
information to build on and incorporate into subsequent activities throughout
the Train-the-Trainer workshop.
Objective(s):
After this session,
participants should be able to:
- Differentiate between pedagogy and andragogy.
- Apply adult learning theories when designing and delivering presentations.
- Recognize behaviors that indicate the various stages of learning.
