Certification: Daily Dispensary Procedures
The Formulations departments primary
function is to dispense test materials to the in-life laboratory for dosage
administration. Proper dispensary ensures that the dosing technician
receives adequate amounts of the correct formulation for each dosage group when
they are needed. This certification will introduce the trainee to the
department dispensary procedures.
The trainee will perform the following
activities under supervision of the trainer:
1. Learn how to read and review the formulation department and In life department dosing schedules
2. Review and interpret the study protocol and Formulation Batch Record chain of custody.
3. Locate the dosage formulations for a study and remove them from storage.
4. Document required chain of custody steps in Dispense and Provantis programs.
