Hi Learners!
We are offering an interactive live math class through Zoom this March! This will be a 4-week session to cover the mathematical concepts and problems you'll encounter on the certification exam. Remember the LATG is cumulative! We will be using Zoom and Whiteboards to demo and practice with you each concept.
To sign up, search for the course ID in the Campus "Find Courses" feature- ACC ALAT 0178en and/or use the title AALAS Prep - ALAT Math Seminar. Please make sure to sign up for all 4 weeks if you want to get all the content!
Here is a breakdown of what to expect:
AALAS Prep - ALAT Math Seminar
In this 4 week seminar course:
LAS industry workers will follow and practice with a corporate instructor to review, practice, and master mathematical concepts required for the ALAT certification exam using Zoom and whiteboards. Participation and interaction is highly encouraged.1) Differentiate between units of measurement used in the metric system and US system of measurements.
2) Convert mathematical units between metric and US system of measurements.
3) Calculate temperature conversion between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
4). Define acids, bases, & pH.
5). Calculate dilution ratios in mathematical problems.
Please ensure you have enrolled for each week as each week is a different topic. You will need to attend 4 weeks to cover all the material presented. Details for each week's presentation materials are in the description boxes within each weekly event at each event sign up page.
