The AALAS Learning Library (ALL) has recently released a new course title, AVMA Guidelines for the Euthanasia of Animals: 2020 Edition.  this course is an update to the 2013 edition course retired earlier this year.

About this course:

This course focuses on animal euthanasia in the research setting and considers a wide range of species, including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. The course addresses both the general concepts of euthanasia and the practical aspects of various methods of euthanasia. It is beyond the scope of this course to discuss such specifics as doses, specific flow rates, and other details because procedural guidelines vary widely by institution. Therefore, please refer to your own institution’s SOPs and guidelines for these specifics.
