2019 ALAT Prep Program - Registration Open

Registration is now open for the 2019 AALAS Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification examination preparatory program.

Classes begin Tuesday, 05MAR2019.  Registration remains open until one week before the start of classes.

About the ALAT Prep Program

This 26-week program is designed for any laboratory animal science professional wishing to prepare for the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification examination offered by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS).

Learners will participate in weekly live virtual classes conducted by the Charles River - Insourcing Solutions Training Department.  Outside of class/lecture sessions, on-line learning and quizzing will asses and reinforce knowledge required for the exam.  Students will also have the option to review recordings of the live sessions in the event they are unable to join a live session.

The program will follow content outlined in the most recent edition of the AALAS ALAT Training Manual, Student Workbook and Regulatory Workbook.  Lessons will progress by chapter and unit.  Unit assessment will be assigned to test interim knowledge levels and each student will attempt a mock examination to complete the program.
