Purpose:

PathogenBinder™ (PB) is a system utilized for quarterly health monitoring at Charles River Accelerator and Development Lab (CRADL^®) without the need for live animal “sentinel” mice or rats. It follows a similar process to dirty bedding sentinel cages but utilizes a special filter paper instead of live mice or rats. The purpose of this document is to describe the roles, responsibilities, and processes associated with use of the PB system.
