Objectives: The aim of this course is to explain the context of animal regulation and present the basic principles relating to biosafety, animal welfare and regulatory aspects.

It provides an understanding of the key points of European and French regulations on the protection of animals and their use for scientific purposes, covering the main regulatory requirements under EU Directive 2010/633.

Target audience: Animal caretakers, person in charge of carrying out procedures on animals, Animal welfare body, and personnel not directly involved with animals but working in conjunction with the animal facility
