The learning objective are:
- Gaining a thorough understanding of European and French regulations concerning the protection of animals used for scientific purposes
- Understanding the 3Rs principle and the obligation to take animal welfare into account

- Purpose and scope of the relevant legislation
- Requirements relating to the authorization of establishments, and the training and competence of staff
- Project evaluation and authorization
- Animal welfare body and ethics committee
The module concludes with a knowledge assessment that you must pass to complete this training.
